This is RIGHT ON! My experience in developing and implementing an Onboarding program for a manufacturing firm exactly aligned with the items discussed in this podcast. A key component is the leadership team … and hold them accountable! Our orientation programs were held on a certain day of the week whether it was for one person or twenty people! Similarly, a like program can be implemented for employees transferring between departments. There is some HR involvement in the transfer process but greater still is the orientation of the transferring employee into the ‘culture’ of the people and processes of the new department.
